High quality binocular strap / case for the shooter of today.
I’ve been using the Harkila binocular strap/harness for 3 months now and I’m very pleased with it apart from one notable issue which I will mention later.
It is easy to take on and off, is comfortable to wear and the neck and chest straps work well to keep the binoculars close to your chest.
The binoculars are secured to the harness by a pair of cords which are in turn fitted into the neck strap.
The body of the harness is made from a hardwearing corduroy type material. This contains a metal insert at the top which grips the binoculars and a couple of magnets that secure the harness closed at the bottom. It is very easy and quiet to take out and return the binoculars.
However, my binoculars are Leica Geovids and I usually have the eyecups down as I wear glasses. If I have the eyecups up then the magnetic clasps in the body of the harness do not sufficiently overlap to hold the harness closed and the binoculars in place.
So if your binoculars are 17cm from top to bottom or less then this would be a great product for you. If over 17cm then avoid!
Because of this issue I can only give the Harkila Binocular Strap 3 out of 5 stars, shame because it is a quality product.Tags: binocular strap, clothing accessories, harkilla clothing
The binocular strap from Harkilla is a unique product with ease of use and quality at its core. The design of the product includes a harness which loops over the neck, then clips round the torso to create a solid base. From here the binoculars are then secured with two elastic cords to allow ease of use, whilst securely holding them out of harms way.
An integrated flap is held securely with a magnet whilst they are not being used, and the finish is a dark green canvas material which holds up well through all conditions.
